BIG oblong fruits reach up to 10 pounds! This watermelon is a great choice for short seasons and northern climates, as it matures fully in 3 months. It also stores well after harvest. Light salmon-colored flesh is crunchy and very sweet.

Grown by Groundwork in Paonia, CO.

Planting Instructions: Start indoors 3-5 weeks before last spring frost and transplant outdoors after all danger of frost has passed and soil has warmed. Or sow directly in the ground in well-draining mounds or rows (3 seeds/mound with mounds spaced 5 feet apart, or seeds spaced 12" apart in rows). Do not overwater. 

Seed Saving Instructions: Choose fully ripe, tasty fruits for seed saving. Dry seeds on a screen or cloth. Store seeds in a paper or mesh bag in a cool, dark and dry location.
